The Water Quality and Vegetation Control Committee is sponsoring a buckthorn treatment day Saturday Sep 17th 9AM-Noon. We need both volunteers and also to identify treatment sites.
Treatment will consist of pulling or cutting this invasive plant and covering any stump with a black plastic bag secured with a zip tie. There is no chemical involved. If you can help, even for only part of the time, please send an e-mail [email protected] .
We have a few sites already identified but ask all owners to review the “Identifying Buckthorn” document and notify us if you require treatment or have questions by sending an e-mail to [email protected] .
