The Communications Committee for the Town of Sevastopol met on Tuesday Afternoon August 4 to discuss the expansion of High Speed Internet throughout the Township. In addition to the Communications Committee, there was representation from the Sevastopol Town Board, Sevastopol School District, Clark Lake and Financial and Techology Representation from the Area. The Committee discussed the first proposal they had received for Cellular Internet from a Green Bay Company Bug Tussel Wireless. As is the case with many proposals, the were questions that could not be answered and issues that could not be resolved. A second proposal from Door County Broadband was requested and would be discussed at a later meeting. A question was raised whether one internet provider would be able to provide service the entire township. The committee remained open to the idea of multiple providers working together to provide a solution. The discussion will continue at the next Committee Meeting. They would like to have a decision on a provider(s) for budget planning in early Fall.
