The CLAA Natural Shores demonstration project is asking for volunteers: Planting wildflowers and grasses.

Planting grasses and wildflowers will be Saturday 20 June with a rain date of 21 June.

We will plant through an erosion mat with each plant getting some additional reinforced soil.

No heavy work is anticipated during this process. There are about 330 plants.

To ensure virus safety we will have teas of 2-6 on site at a session. Sessions begin at 8 AM and will be for 2 hours with a 15-30 min break to hydrate and disinfect. You may sign up for more than one session. Masks are required except during breaks or if at least 6 feet apart. Please bring your own hand sanitizer.

Tools you will need include a garden trowel, gardening gloves, knife to cut through the erosion mat, bucket for soil, bulb auger and drill (optional), soil knife or garden clippers to cut roots, kneeling pad (optional).

Please e-mail a reply with your availability, preferred contact number, equipment you cannot bring with you, or any questions.
