On Saturday, August 10th the Jacksonport Town Board and Birthday Committee have planned a fantastic community day to celebrate Jacksonport’s Sesquicentennial.
The day kicks off at 2:30 with live music by Jerry Voelker, along with old-fashioned yard games, bounce houses for the kids, and a beverage tent. Town taxpayers will receive a complimentary picnic supper of broasted chicken and a traditional pig roast (plus all the fixin’s) (guests of town residents may eat for just $5.00 per plate). More live music begins at 6:00 p.m. and runs through 10:00 p.m. Capping off the day will be FIREWORKS at dark!
To make the day a fun and enjoyable they will need volunteer help. Commitments will be short—two to three hours—and there are a variety of spots to help out.
As a community group who uses the town hall they are requesting that our group provide five volunteers for the day. Attached is a spreadsheet of volunteer stations. They will fill these on a first-come, first-served, basis.
If you are willing to volunteer on August 10th, please contact Chuck Birringer at (920) 948-8167 or email at [email protected] with the time and volunteer workstation you would like to help at. If you do not have a specific time or workstation but would like to help, there will be a need to fill open spots. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
