CLAA is looking for volunteers for an all lake map of the bulrush beds.
This is a once every five year project and does require a small boat, canoe or kayak. The lake will be divided into sections and you will use a GPS unit to track yourself as you identify and closely circle and measure the beds in your assigned section. Near shore beds could be tracked on foot by wading.
This can be done alone, but teams of two or three would be best since you also need to document some observations about each bed.
We have on GPS unit and could use more to allow multiple teams to work at the same time.
